Sportradar continues to strengthen its executive lineup with the latest appointment of Eric Conrad sustaining a rapid trend of bringing more talent in. Conrad will serve as Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships & Content for North America, the official press release stated. He will work directly with Eduard Blonk, the current company Chief Commercial Officer, and will report to him.

Conrad is effectively stepping into Sportradar’s newly-created position to help steer the company’s sprawling offer and ensure that the company continues to achieve its strategic objectives. Conrad will seek to expand on the success of the US Sports Content and Partnerships team, which will work with him.

The team has been able to establish high-profile partnerships with a number of major league sports in the United States, to name the NBA, MLB, and NHL. These leagues utilize various aspects of the Sportradar offer that enables them to pursue better and deeper fan engagement and experiences. On top of that, these partnerships enable Sportradar to establish itself as a leader in the burgeoning North American market for sports and sports betting.

Conrad will help the company’s commercial partners to explore new revenue channels through the existing partnerships and build operational patterns that enable both Sportradar and its partners to achieve sustained growth. Conrad himself is a vital addition to the team as he has been able to negotiate hundreds of agreements across sports verticals for both the US and international markets.

He has more than 20 years in the industry and he previously worked at Univision, where he was Executive Vice President of Sports Programmingand Acquisitions. He has negotiated with some of the most prominent sports bodies around the world, including FIFA and UEFA, MLS, and many others. Blonk welcomed Conrad to his new job and said that the rapid growth in the North American market has necessitated the addition of a new leader with a proven track record.

Blonk is confident that Conrad will help forge important partnerships and push the overall company offer forward, assisting the company in delivering more value to Sportradar customers. Conrad also held roles as part of ESPN where he has proven invaluable and where he has further strengthened his understanding of the industry and negotiating partnerships with prominent leagues and executives.
