The leading global gaming company, International Game Technology (IGT), was recently recognized for its efforts toward diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Corporate Equality Index recognizes IGT

On Wednesday, the company announced that it was recognized with a top score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

In a statement, IGT confirmed that it was able to maintain its top score of 100 for the 2025 CEI, an achievement that serves as a testament to its inclusion policies and practices, as well as efforts to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

The company dedicated time and resources to implementing different programs, policies and changes to its operations that focused on helping promote workplace diversity and inclusion.

Part of the initiatives included the implementation of LGBTQ+ job boards and positions that helped ensure a more inclusive and equitable hiring process.

Moreover, IGT implemented mandatory, as well as elective training for its employees, raising cultural awareness and helping combat unconscious bias.

Further initiatives include the creation of transgender-inclusive restrooms and other facilities, as well as the implementation of dress code practices that are gender-neutral.

Not unexpectedly, IGT employees were given the choice to select the pronouns they prefer and share them with their coworkers.

The aforementioned initiatives by no means do not exhaust IGT's efforts to become a more inclusive employer.

Ultimately, those efforts helped play a key role in the recent achievement.

The achievement highlights the company's dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion

Brian Blake, IGT's Vice President, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, commented on the topic revealing: "IGT once again achieving a top score in HRC Foundation's 2025 CEI showcases our commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where LGBTQ+ employees can thrive and feel safe, supported and empowered."

The executive spoke about the company's DEI objectives, recognizing them as significantly important.

Finally, Blake said: "We are continuously evolving our policies, practices and benefits to ensure IGT remains an inclusive employer for LGTBQ+ professionals, and this recognition from the HRC motivates us to continue fostering a culture where all employees feel valued."

Close to 1,500 organizations participated in the 2025 CEI.

The prestigious index assessed how businesses based in the United States promote LGBTQ+ policies across the country and overseas.

To secure the top score, IGT has gone through an assessment of multiple pillars, policies and business practices focusing on non-discrimination and benefits for LGBTQ+ employees and their families.

The assessment covered corporate social responsibility, as well as efforts toward inclusive culture, among other non-discriminatory practices.
