Rivalry goes live with esports betting app in Ontario

Rivalry Corp has launched its dedicated mobile esports betting app product in Ontario, one of the fastest-expanding betting and gambling markets in the world. Moving forward, Rivalry, which is a company that started out as a fully-dedicated esports betting platform, and later branched out to feature casino and sports products, will offer local electronic sports fans the opportunity to experience next-generation wagering from their phones through the dedicated app.

To clarify, Rivalry has already been operating a strong esports betting product, with the company’s gains in the vertical tracking a 15% month-over-month growth rate, according to a press statement released by the platform. According to Rivalry, the mobile app will continue to allow it to connect with Millennial and Gen Z bettors, which are now 97% of the company’s total customer base.

Rivalry supports a wide variety of esports betting markets, covering many popular games on which players can bet, including but not limited to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Dota 2, among others. Steven Salz, Rivalry co-founder and CEO, has hailed the arrival of the esports product in Ontario where the company already operates.

Salz said that the company is focusing on Millennial and Gen Z consumers who appreciate mobile wagering, as they prefer its flexibility and accessibility. Salz further added:

"Launching a mobile app adds an important layer of accessibility to our product, increasing our addressable market in Ontario, and allowing us to bring esports betting to more customers in the region and ultimately grow the category."

Rivalry touts its product as one of the "most comprehensive" in the province, bringing many excellent titles and markets, including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, Call of Duty: Mobile, and more. Salz doubled down on the company’s product and said that Rivalry was particularly seeking out a demographic that has specific consumption habits and betting preferences.

That is why Rivalry has customized its offer to focus fully on these consumers and theunique way in which they approach products, entertainment, and brands. "Our differentiated user experience continues to act as a catalyst for our company, and we’re excited to bring this offering to the palm of our customers’ hands," Salz concluded.
