Jackpocket, the first licensed third-party lottery app in the US, announced a new partnership with the famous MLB team New York Mets. Announced on Tuesday, the new collaboration sees the company become an Official Digital Lottery partner of the team.
Under the terms of the new deal, Jackpocket gained the rights to use New York Mets logos. The company can use those logos for both offline and online marketing purposes and promote the team via its social media channels.
What's more, Jackpocket will benefit from pregame exposure as the team will play a commercial with the brand before their home games. Jackpocket will also benefit from in-stadium exposure via a LED ribbon board at Citi Field, the home of the famous MLB team.
In a press release dated July 19, 2022, the Mets' Vice President of Partnerships, Brian Fling, revealed that the team sought to engage with its fans via digital solutions. He added that the Mets are proud to join forces with Jackpocket. In conclusion, Fling said: "This partnership cements our dedication to exploring new ways for fans to get excited on game day and beyond."
Peter Sullivan, Jackpocket's Founder and CEO, added: "Partnering with the Mets has been a dream of mine, especially as a baseball fan." He explained that the company is looking for new ways to engage with players and at the same time acknowledged that the lottery is popular with New Yorkers. "With this latest professional sports partnership, we expand on the unique experiences created for our sports fan base and provide Mets fans with a new way to play and win," said Sullivan in conclusion.
Celebrating the new partnership with the Mets, Jackpocket introduced a special "LGM" code. Users that enter that code at checkout would receive a complimentary lottery ticket. Additionally, fans that use Jackpocket have a chance of winning trips for games that include hotel accommodation and even air travel. Last but not least, Jackpocket will also be organizing giveaways for sports fans. According to the company, fans will have the chance to win unique memorabilia Mets items.
The recent partnership between Jackpocket and the Mets marks the company's fourth collaboration with an MLB sports team. Previously, Jackpocket joined forces with the Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers.
Besides the MLB, Jackpocket's portfolio of partners includes NBA, NHL, NFL and college athletics teams. Overall, the company has active partnerships with eight major league organizations. Only recently, Jackpocket announced its entry in Montana. This marked the 12th US state where the company's lottery app is available.
