Gordon Moody has announced the opening of its new residential treatment center in Redditch, which is due on Monday, November 25, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.
The new centre will strengthen the charity’s capabilities of offering a much-needed and highly efficient treatment service that has demonstrated the positive impact such approaches to addressing problem gambling could have on patients and people who suffer from a severe gambling disorder.
The residential treatment creates a unique opportunity to address problem gambling in patients, with tailored residential treatment programs and the use of cutting-edge therapies and holistic approaches, the UK-based charity said in a press statement outlining the new center.
This is an important step forward for the charity, as Gordon Moody has already seen the life-changing impact such programs and venues could have on individuals. The new center will continue to build upon the charity’s mission of providing people who suffer from severe gambling disorders with the means necessary to get their lives back.
The opening will include a tour of the facility between 10 am and 3 pm and will feature senior leaders from the charity as well as testimonials from people who actually benefited from the organization’s efforts.
Apart from pioneering residential treatment options, Gordon Moody has been actively working to address the many unanswered aspects of gambling-related harm. One of those is the pioneering of the organization’s Gambling Support First Aid Training meant to equip individuals who undertake the training with the means necessary to help address gambling harm in others quickly.
The training similarly seeks to make it so that trainees understand and can spot the signs of problem gambling early on when interventions tend to be more efficient in general. Gordon Moody also recently appointed Monica Shafaq as its new Chief Executive Officer, as the organization continues to strengthen its operations and expand its executive lineup.
Gordon Moody has historically collaborated with Casino Guru to introduce a Safer Gambling Course.
