Fanatics becomes latest IBIA member

Fanatics Betting and Gaming has become the latest operator and gambling company to join the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). Fanatics, which is a fairly new entrant in the sports betting market, with a particular focus on the North American market, will make a worthwhile addition to IBIA’s lineup at a time when the association is trying to stay ahead of the rapid legalization of sports gambling in the United States, Canada, and the region in general.

The Fanatics Sportsbook is also partnering with Washington Commanders, which has made the brand the first sportsbook to ever open inside an NFL Stadium in Maryland only recently. For its part, Fanatics will start by focusing on expanding in the retail sector, but the company has plans to rapidly scale its offer across mobile and online platforms as well.

For IBIA, this is an auspicious opportunity to bring more trusted and respected brands into its fold, and ensure that sports betting remains free of manipulation in North America and the world. Fanatics Betting and Gaming SVP Trading Andrew Wright welcomed the opportunity and said that this partnership was an important step forward to providing customers with a secure betting environment.

This comes at a time, Wright explained, when Fanatics is only starting to roll out its product. He further praised the efforts put in by IBIA to safeguard global betting markets and thanked the opportunity for Fanatics to be a part of this process.

IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said that the company was delighted to welcome Fanatics Betting and Gaming and its decision to strengthen the association’s monitoring capacities across the board, bringing more trusted partners to help track irregularities in the regulated gambling sector.

IBIA is hopeful that its members can one day account for near-hundred percent of the regulated global betting handle, a process already underway. Fanatic’s decision, Ali said, demonstrates the company’s desire to leverage and utilize the best integrity protection solutions on the market.

IBIA has been on a clear path to strengthening its presence in the United States. The association most recently secured several prominent partners in the country, including Simplebet, betJACK, and Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment. All of these companies, along with Fanatics Betting and Gaming, are now part of IBIA’s global integrity network designed to safeguard against fraud in sports and betting.
