The global sports betting and gaming group, Entain, announced a new senior-level appointment. Earlier this week, the company announced it selected Ronald J. Kramer for the role of Independent Non-Executive Director. Joining Entain, the executive brings extensive experience spanning over four decades in different sectors, including gaming and corporate finance.

Kramer secured an MBA from New York University back in 1981. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1980. Throughout his professional career, Kramer accumulated significant knowledge and a deep understanding of different verticals. He is a proven expert in real estate, corporate finance and the gaming sector.

Currently, Kramer is a part of the New York-headquartered diversified management and holding company, Griffon Corporation, where he holds the role of CEO and Chairman. In addition, he is currently a part of the Board of the leading residential brokerage company, Douglas Elliman Inc.

Entain confirmed that its board believes that Kramer is independent. In a statement, the company explained: "In making that determination, the Board have concluded that there are no other relationships or circumstances which are likely to affect his judgment and that any relationships or circumstances which could appear to do so are not considered to be material." Entain confirmed that Kramer's appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director is with immediate effect.

Barry Gibson, Entain's Chairman, was excited to see an expert with the rank of Kramer join the company as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He said that it is exciting to confirm the appointment of Kramer. "He is a high caliber individual with deep knowledge and expertise of the US gaming industry," added Gibson. Finally, Entain's Chairman pointed out: "I am confident that his appointment will add significant value to the Board and complement our existing Board dynamics, as we continue to deliver our strategy of growth and focus on shareholder value."

Recently, a report released by Sky News suggested Entain may be planning to divest PartyPoker, its flagship poker brand. Reportedly, the company hired Oakvale Capital in an effort to help it locate a buyer for its online poker business.
