As all eyes are focusing on the Latin American region as the next frontier in the global sports betting expansion push, bet365 has confirmed the launch of its localized operations in the Peruvian iGaming and sports betting market, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.
In a press release, the Stoke-on-Trent betting and gaming firm has said that it has launched a dedicated dot pe domain name, which is geared towards players in the country.
The operator, which is licensed in Peru, has launched dedicated Android and iOS apps that will give it a further leg-up as it seeks to garner market share and ensure that it maintains a good pace not just in Peru but regionally, in Latin American.
This expansion comes soon after Brazil said that it would be looking to oust any unauthorized operator. Bet365 is part of a list of initial 89 operators authorized by the country’s Ministry of Finance (with more names on this list by now, including Stake.com just recently).
Peru has remained a fairly small but crucial market that plays an important role in the overall Latin American expansion for any betting and gaming company in the region, with bet365 being no exception.
Peru charges 12% on net profitfrom operators and expects them to pay a $850,000 licensing fee, making entry into the country a dear affair. Bet365, however, has repeatedly demonstrated that it has the deep pockets and strategic acumen to clear such hurdles and make them work to its benefit.
Bet365 has been doing well in the North American market where many brands, including Betfred, PointsBet, and evoke, previously 888, have decided to withdraw or limit their sports betting operations. Bet365 has been able to maintain a good pace of development and is even expanding its US operations with a 1,000-job office in Denver, Colorado.
Bet365’s ability to overcome challenging market scenarios has allowed the company to continue to expand its global footprint, while its boss, Denise Coates, has been receiving staggering paychecks back at home, turning bet365 into one of the most successful private-owned betting and gaming companies of all times.
