Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. It is not the gambling providers who are doing this, it is the payment service providers. Miscoding is a practice widely used, outside of gambling too.


It will just be ignored by the Curacao licencing board as it is not their duty to check on such things.

That's a load of rubbish I'm afraid.


The unlicensed casinos are more than aware of exactly what is happening. If they weren't they'd be setting up their sites to directly accept card payments instead of routing it through 3rd party payment providers.


Are you telling me that sites like ninewin, bubblesbets, mystake, magicwin etc, which are all unlicensed, anywhere, would gladly welcome inspection of their transactions by any government or card issuer?


As for MCC miscoding being a widely used practice.... Also horse-shit.


The fines that both MC and VISA apply for deliberately miscoding transactions are more than capable of burying most legitimate businesses. Especially at the volume of transactions carried out on these sites.

Ive just had response after 24 hours of asking for SAR request saying they can’t do anything to help as they are just operating a strictly a payment processor and to take it up with site concerned as they don’t hold any records in my name


what do I do??

That is a half truth. Of course the gambling companies know - they are literally advertising to UK/EU players - they wouldn't be able to gather a cent themselves given the payment card and AML rules - so they get companies like Payop and others to do this for them. These third party payment processors sole function is to hide the fact these payments are for gambling. They have no Special Category status to collect such payments. That is the crux of the whole issue. Money is only recoverable from the merchant used(unless the casino agrees to it directly) so from that point there is some truth to it, but let's not muddy the waters and say the casinos have no part in that process.

I have evidence to suggest that these casinos are fully aware of who their processors are and that they clearly communicate. I’ve reached out to merchants, had no contact with them, the only contact I’ve had has been through the casino using these merchants. I did get a full refund on transactions.

Of course they are fully aware - using a payment processor is the same as them collecting the payments themselves - none of them have the category status to receive payments for Gambling, period! Its very clearly set out in Mastercards terms particularly on Special Category Status.

The casino will have a pool of identified merchants that are used for any customer deposits to circumvent gambling and geo blocks a UK customer would have.

These merchant affiliates will then more than likely have crypto wallets that they shift funds on through after they've skimmed their cut. Cue that crypto then rinsing through multiple crypto transactions and wallets and ending up back with the casino.

im going to begin my hunt to recover £1250 worth of deposits all to this same provider, I have emailed Mystake some strongly worded emails with my intentions to take this further.

They don't listen to strongly worded emails or even legal letters. They think they are above the law. As I said yesterday, get their normal copy and paste response and copy the email to [email protected] along with all the details and ask them to confirm that what Mystake are saying is legal. They of course cannot but directly puts pressure on them.


You will want to do them as Goods and Services not received once you get info on the merchant.

I don’t recognise that merchant name, although it will either be a site for payment processing or cryptocurrency I think! I know mistake seem to be one of the hardest ones to deal with, I think these casinos have started using really obscure merchants that are difficult to locate.

Appreciate your help anyway, Google is no help but there are a couple of other mentions of DSolPay in this forum chain but no contact information- hopefully someone else sees this and can guide me the right way 👍

I will contact Mastercard once I receive a response from Mystake, I have read that Mastercard won’t touch anything classified as gambling, but on the phone earlier today I mentioned to My bank that these payments were related to online gambling. I haven’t submitted a dispute yet as the payments are still pending so hoping I am able to put it through as goods not received at a later date
