Just abit of an update!

I have finally managed to get monzo to dispute 10k back from TRVRS / TREVERS


Its take 4 disputes being raised and 3 complaints and tagging them into an email with the Financial ombudsman.


I have sent them a mountain of evidence showing that Curacao casinos are laundering money through UK companies.

An that many transactions had been duplicated Aswell as them being a fraudulent MMC.


Monzo are an absolute nightmare to lease with.

I was very honest that yes I spent it on gambling but explained heavily on the, I have only ever deposited directly into a casino, an that they where using fake MMCs registered in the UK

Made a formal complaint to my bank and they are holding all payments I have made for 45 days and if the merchants don’t dispute then I will have a refund of around £4000. Just after I received the email from my bank I had this notification so I presume some companies know they are in the wrong.

I sent a complaint in as monzo refused to process my disputed. They have now processed them but also told me they are closing my account.

Was that on goods not received, my guess is many of these new banks are completely out of their depth on this.

Well done - would be amazing if this was the start of them actually charging back under the correct conditions and us not having to be inventive with certain banks on goods

The same will happen to me. They absolutely hate customers that gamble - it's seen as reckless. An banks don't like reckless. They want money sat in your account all the time.


A good new bank is zopa!

I had 15k in charge backs over 4 disputes and they've been super helpful. They're very anti fraud, so if you can prove it's fraud they pay you within a couple days.


Obviously if you need to be careful dispute everything, certainly without any valid reason ,- if they ask for the money back at any point before it's case closed it's guna be a big red flag against you opening new banks.


The curaco gambling vibe ATM with alot of UK players having to play on their sites due to self exclusions here is ABIT of a 50/50 - they operate with no license and allow UK players. Then now an agen take the absolute piss for payments. So they make charge backs pretty easy in that sense.


Every single time I play on a site I screenshot absolutely everything that could build a strong case of needed. Withdrawal logs, chat logs, changes in URLs they use, incoming and outgoings merchants.


You always need as much information as possible.


Don't forget, if a site then blocks your account. Go on the live chat, ask for your transaction log (even if you already have it) they'll refuse to give it you most often.

This will then help strengthen your case to say well look - my deposits don't even match up or they are different amounts ect.

To be fair, every charge back dispute I've done, I've always said it's gambling, I just make sure I prove it's operating illegally, that I've asked them for evidence of my transaction log after account is closed. - show that it's a fake MMC and show that you've asked for your money back an take screen shots. I think that's a better way than having to explain 16k over 4 days of t-shirts not being delivered.


I think that makes em more suspicious.


I told Monzo I'll take em to a small claims court for £10k if they don't dispute it, I sent them MasterCards dispute requirements and showed that I met everyone one of them an then raised a senior complaint for customer discrimination

I’m not even fully with monzo just a second bank. They haven’t fully refunded me already they’ve just processed the disputes. I’m trying to speak to them now telling them to reconsider but I doubt they will.

That's the same with me, legally they can just close your account when ever they like - but they do have to give you I think about 120 days notice?


What angle did you take with your dispute? Say it was for something other than gambling?

Of course Monzo don't care about you, and anyway, even if you do receive some money back, you will lose it in another casino within a week, and you'll be back on Monzo's live chat accusing them, the casinos, the Pope—everyone. So look on the bright side: it doesn't really matter if you get refunded, as you'll lose it again.
