Paulina Ostrzycka, Yggdrasil's Regional Manager for the Balkans, talks about the company's success in specific markets and the ambitious roadmap the company has set out for itself. She also highlights the growing importance of Croatia and the innovations shaping Yggdrasil’s 2026 pipeline.

Q: Yggdrasil has enjoyed a strong commercial run throughout 2025 and 2026. You’ve also expanded more aggressively into Croatia, including your recent deal with Admiral. How strategically important is the Croatian market for Yggdrasil Gaming at this stage?

Croatia is an important and strategically relevant market for Yggdrasil Gaming at this stage. While we are still in the early phase following our first launch, we see strong long-term potential in the region. Entering Croatia supports our broader strategy of expanding within regulated European markets, and we are already progressing with integrations with additional local operators. This gives us confidence that our presence will grow steadily over time."
Q: Croatia is often seen as a smaller but competitive market. What are its key dynamics, and how have players responded to Yggdrasil’s portfolio so far?

In terms of player response, the initial reception to Yggdrasil Gaming’s portfolio has been encouraging. Our content is well aligned with local preferences, particularly in the slots segment, and we are already seeing positive engagement. As we expand through additional operator integrations, we expect to build further traction and deepen our understanding of player behaviour in the market.
Q: You recently launched Coo Coo Cashoo LightningLines. What differentiates this title from your previous releases, and what early feedback or performance indicators stand out?
Coo Coo Cashoo LightningLines™ is a particularly important release for us, as it is the first Yggdrasil game to showcase our new LightningLines™ Game Engagement Mechanic. This feature dynamically changes the number of symbols on each row, ranging from two to seven, which can increase the total number of ways to win to up to 117,649.

Q: Looking ahead, what can we expect from your 2026 roadmap, and in what ways will upcoming titles build on, or diverge from, your 2025 releases?
In 2026, we expect to launch more games than ever before, powered by our new Game in a Box™ technology. By reducing the time required to develop a title and giving designers more direct control throughout the process, this technology enables us to expand our output while maintaining a strong focus on quality.

Our 2026 roadmap will build on the success of our most popular releases over the years, while also bringing forward new stories, fresh mechanics, and engaging player experiences. Overall, our ambition is to keep evolving the portfolio in a way that feels both innovative and distinctive.

Q: Over the past year, Yggdrasil seems to have evolved its mechanics and gameplay approach. Is this a deliberate shift, and how do you plan to further develop your product offering in 2026?

Yes, absolutely. This evolution is a deliberate part of our strategy. In 2026, we will continue investing in new game mechanics, new technology, and new titles. Innovation is part of Yggdrasil’s DNA, and we are constantly striving to offer the industry something new, better, and of consistently high quality.

A major focus for us this year is expanding access to our Game in a Box™ technology for studios and partners. This solution allows anyone who wants to build a game to do so more seamlessly, more quickly, and more cost-effectively than traditional development methods.
