Krzysztof Opałka: “Empowering operators with branded content”

Krzysztof Opałka, CEO at Tequity, explains why his company recently launched a solution to help operators easily produce quick, attractive, branded games that they can roll out to players.

Q: You recently announced the launch of White Label Originals. What were the reasons behind this development and why was the time right to launch, ahead of ICE?

Instant games are massive in the world of crypto casino, because they allow for customisation, creating bespoke propositions to put in front of players. With our system, operators can dynamically adjust RTP, Max Win and Max Exposure. Crucially for this segment, all of our games are available with provably fair functionality.

While this type of content is a must-have for crypto casinos, I also believe our system offers a great opportunity for more traditional casinos to attract a sought-after younger audience. This will also help to prevent their players from moving away towards crypto casinos.

There are plenty of B2B providers of instant games, but we feel to this point nobody has done it in the right way. The feedback after ICE confirms our diagnosis was right - we even have two operators who built such games themselves, but have now switched to our system due to the superior quality.

Q: How does going down the route of a white-label solution help operators gain a competitive advantage in the market?

Operators love branded content, because instead of pushing a third-party brand they can keep players within their own ecosystem. This helps to reinforce their brand, creating loyalty among players through content that can’t be found anywhere else.

Our branding options allow operators to change literally every colour, image and sound. It adds up to a deep, bespoke experience in which our games feel like part of the casino website rather than embedded third-party content.

Q: Dynamically adjustable RTP and the Max Exposure concepts are interesting ideas. How do you see operators potentially using these functionalities?

By default, Originals games come with a very high RTP of 99% and extreme win potential. For example, Mines theoretically allows players to win over 5 million times their stake. Adjusting the maximum bet to fit an appropriate maximum exposure would limit bet options to very low stakes, resulting in a bad experience for a large cohort of players. With that in mind, we built an intelligent system that allows operators to keep high stakes while securing a proper, appropriate maximum exposure.

Being able to set a comfortable maximum exposure and RTP per brand, market or even per player, allows the operator to tailor the player experience according to their needs at any given moment in time.

Q: Finally, how important was it with this product to get both the UI/UX exactly right, as well as the technical factors?

The key to instant games is that they look simple on the surface, but the best examples have incredible depth to keep players interested. Originals allows operators to build compelling experiences in a simple, efficient way.

After speaking to operators, we also placed a very strong focus on providing the highest possible experience on the technical side. This includes aspects such as latency. Fast-to-play games require instant responses, while in-built scalability means that these games need to handle huge traffic. Naturally, super-fast loading times are key as well. Players rightly have high expectations when it comes to their leisure time and seamless experiences are a must.
