Gil Soffer

Gil Soffer is the Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development at Galaxsys, a relatively young company which has achieved a lot in its short period of trading operations. Having recently launched its marquee Totem, Roll the Dice, Roll the Board, Galaxsys has been working hard to elevate industry standards and become a center of innovation. With numerous certifications and a truly global reach, Galaxsys pushes the envelope of what we know for iGaming content by delivering on robust solutions that seek to establish trust with the player bases.

Q: Gil, can we start by finding out a little more where Galaxsys is today? How has been your company doing over the past 12 months - marked by regulatory shifts across the world?

Galaxsys is still a relatively young company, but we have made good progress with our strategy, which is to focus on the non-traditional slots market and service that demand from operators.

To date, we have already provided our portfolio of twenty-six fast and skill games that include a range of instant, crash, mines, and Plinko games, which are available in multiple regulated markets to over 100+ global tier 1 partners and tier 1 aggregators, which continues to grow.

We are committed to multi-jurisdictional licensing and certifications for our games and have MGA, Curacao, have presence in Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Republic of Srpska, Switzerland, Colombia, Greece, entering Italy, and more markets mainly in Europe, Asia and Latam countries.

Q: Your company has focused on two distinct segments - skill and fast games - from the very start. Why did you venture in these particular verticals and was there doubt when you are starting that the model would be successful?

Crash and Fast games have been popular for some time, especially on social platforms and the crypto ecosystem. Over time, this interest has translated into the mainstream online gaming and casino verticals.

Part of the growth curve is that more and more players are seeking quicker, faster, and simpler gaming experiences within their busy digital lives. Crash and Fast games deliver that need, with a more streamlined game session and less complicated game mechanics that allow the player to understand the game faster and feel more in control of their own gaming decision-making experience.

There was never any doubt; as a business, we are centred on robust market research regarding player demands and what operators/partners require. We focus on what we are good at to provide the best digital experience we can to our partners.

Q:In retrospect, are you happy with venturing into those particular verticals and focusing on them exclusively?

As we mentioned, our business looked at the overall market opportunity and identified that demand for a different digital gaming experience.

We are more than happy with our strategic direction, as the business has been recognised with numerous industry awards in a short period of trading operations, and we currently have over 100+ global operators and tier 1 aggregators distributing the Galaxsys games portfolio.

Q: Are there challenges to communicate what skill games are to operators, players, and even regulators? Is there a sort of suspicion about the idea of a "skill game" as the term has not been clearly defined in some jurisdictions?

Any operator or supplier in the iGaming ecosystem must provide support marketing communications collateral when a new game comes to the market, as it is good practice for both the operators and the end players.

There aren't any challenges as we have good product marketing teams and specialists who can describe the game mechanics, gameplay, and how-to-play information. A regular communication program is essential to build familiarity and trust within the game and the brand, and indeed 3rd, party sites and channels such as social media help establish that visibility awareness of the game.

In terms of a 'skill game,' as in any regulation or communication, there may be some interpretation issues or local market requirements. As a business, we are committed to social and corporate responsibility within our model, thereof our game certifications and licensing frameworks and working with regulators to achieve these standards.

Q: With an established field of operation, where is Galaxsys headed next in 2023 and beyond?

Galaxsys has a substantive roadmap until the year's end. We just launched our marquee game,Totem, Roll the Dice, Roll the Board.

The Totem game, of which we are proud, includes Bonus functionalities intended for player engagement and increasing the marketing toolkits available for our partners. The features come with dynamic animations and in-game engagement tools such as FreeBet and FreeAmount bonuses, which allow the option to award prizes to the players, with terms set by the individual operator.

The Totem game architecture incorporates hash-based cryptographic verification technology that ensures that the outcome of the games is entirely random. At the end of each round, the players can confirm the game results' randomness. Galaxsys only uses high-end Random Number Generator technologies in all our games portfolio. In this case, we use the Quantum Random Number Generators from the world leader in quantum-safe crypto solutions – ID Quantique, and we continue to use technology that delivers transparency and a complete gaming experience.
