Still, the Lapeer County man spoke to an official from the Michigan Lottery, revealing that on his way to work, he stopped to buy a Fast Cash ticket.

The winner said that it wasn't until later in the day when he checked the Double win Wild Time ticket. The jackpot win came as a surprise for the young man.

"My mom has the Michigan Lottery app on her phone, so when I saw I’d won the jackpot, I had her scan the ticket to make sure it was real," he explained.

Moreover, the incredibly fortunate player said: "We started screaming and jumping up and down when $533,646 came up on the scanner!"

The winner did not disclose if he has plans for his newfound fortune.
