Other than minting multi-million winners, the Illinois Lottery has been busy actively looking at how to innovate what it has to offer with a new game promising to turn a winner every four minutes.
The new game, HotWins, does just that, producing winners at an unprecedented clip, with frequent opportunities to play and win throughout the day. Commenting on this new game, Illinois Lottery Director Harold Mays had this to add:
"HotWins represents the next evolution of lottery entertainment. It’s designed to be social and to meet players where they already gather—whether that’s a neighborhood bar, restaurant, or local convenience store—offering more chances to play and win, more often."
The game has already been rolled out with at least 7,000 lottery retailers in Illinois, and the number of venues is expanding. Local pubs and family restaurants are also offering lottery tickets, part of the Illinois Lottery’s expansion push to reach more people.
Mays has celebrated this marketing coup as a great way to add to the entertainment value people get out of their dining experience. As to HotWins, the game makes a win possible in just a few minutes - from buying the ticket to seeing the results!
Other than coining new formats, the Illinois Lottery has also seen quite a few big-time winners over the past few weeks. Someone won $1,498,172 playing the FastPlay Cash Castle game just this week.
Earlier this month, another person managed to scoop a $850,000 prize from the state’s Lucky Day Lotto game.
