Fortunate man left speechless by AU$1.2m win after dentist appointment

After a dentist’s appointment, one fortunate man was shocked to learn that he became a millionaire overnight.

That’s the story of one Euroa, Victoria, Australia man who scored one of the top prizes from a recent TattsLotto drawing.

Five winners take home AU$1.2m each

The player entered the game’s draw 4715 and his 10-game entry was purchased from Euroa News and Lotto at 61 Binney Street in Euroa.

That TattsLotto drawing produced a total of five division one winning entries across Australia, each entitled to a life-changing prize of AU$1,247,390.16($876,110).

Lorraine Mawson, the owner of Euroa News and Lotto, who was interviewed by The Lott, revealed that it is incredibly exciting to sell a division one winning entry.

The shop owner explained that the last time Euroa News and Lotto had sold a division one entry was nearly a decade ago, in 2018.

"We’ll be letting everyone know the great news. It’s very exciting to be a part of someone’s life-changing win," Mawson explained.

"I’m completely numb and no, not from the dentist"

The Lott contacted the fortunate player to give him the good news on Monday.

Laughing, the player said the news that he won AU$1.2m from TattsLotto is life-changing.

"I tell you what, this is unbelievable. I’m just in shock," the lucky man said.

What’s more, the Euroa resident pointed out: "I’m just heading home from the dentist. I was going to do a few other things as well today, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything now."

Joking, the fortunate lottery player added: "I’m completely numb and no, not from the dentist."

The winner explained that he plans to give his wife the good news and said he will certainly record her reaction.

Although the player said that he had long imagined winning the lottery and had plenty of things in mind, the thought of the million-dollar prize felt overwhelming, and he said he is at a loss of words.

Still, one of the first things on the victorious Victorian’s list would be to take some time off.

Then, the fortunate man said he will focus on helping his family and maybe buying a new 4WD vehicle.
