The jackpot from Mega Millions is once again passing the astronomical $500m.
The top prize from the popular game survived the latest drawing, enabling it to continue to increase.
On Friday, an estimated $489m jackpot was up for grabs from Mega Millions.
The cash option, although smaller in size, was still completely life-changing for a $220.9m payday.
Mega Millions’ drawing on Friday saw winning numbers 5, 13, 30, 33, 52 and the gold Mega Ball number 6 drawn.
While many lottery players tried their luck, nobody matched correctly all winning numbers to win the game’s top prize.
Just as interesting, there wasn’t a single fortunate player to match the five white balls for a tier-two prize between $2m and $10m.
Following the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, now, the jackpot will be an estimated $511m for the game’s next draw scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11 PM ET.
If a player matches correctly all winning numbers on the game’s next drawing and they select the cash option, they will collect a one-time sum of approximately $231.0m before the relevant applicable state and federal taxes.
The jackpot from Mega Millions was last won early in March this year.
On the game’s March 10, 2026, drawing, one incredibly fortunate player from Illinois won the top prize for a whopping $536m payday.
This marked the first Mega Millions jackpot win for 2026, and the second-largest prize ever won by an online lottery player in the United States at the time.
The fortunate player didn’t wait long to claim their newfound fortune.
Not even two weeks after the drawing, the player, who chose to remain anonymous but selected a nickname "Lucky Lady," collected the jackpot.
Now, as the Mega Million top prize continues to grow, it marks the second time the jackpot has surpassed $500m in 2026.
