Veikkaus to enhance live casino experience with Playtech

Veikkaus, the Finnish state-owned gaming monopoly, and Playtech, one of the leading providers of iGaming content with a solid focus on the table and live casino games, have agreed to work together and strengthen the operator’s footprint in the live casino sector. The news was shared on the supplier’s official website and outline the details of the collaboration.

The pair to collaborate over a long-term period which will see the rapid adoption of innovative live casino games with an initial period of six years open to renegotiation as the two companies gauge the results of their joint efforts.

Playtech is already well-represented locally in the region, and this new tie-up with Veikkaus will allow it to inject its prime live casino titles into the operator and allow players to enjoy fresh opportunities when it comes to live casino gameplay.

To make sure that this partnership takes on a more meaningful dimension, the two parties are working together to on a branded studio that will be built around the needs of Veikkaus and seek to satisfy local expectations and demand. This new studio will also feature Finnish-speaking live dealers who will help guide players across a range of experiences, including roulette tables, blackjack, and more.

Playtech Commercial Director Fredrik Sylvander has welcomed the opportunity to embark on a long-term collaboration with Veikkaus. For one, it clearly demonstrated his company’s capabilities when it comes to live casino gaming.

"We are excited to support Veikkaus in their first launch of Live casino games, providing Finnish players with an exceptional gaming experience," Sylvander added, arguing that the two companies will leverage their experience and expertise and create more powerful live casino offerings for Finnish players to enjoy.

This optimistic attitude was met in kind by Veikkaus VP of iCasino, Riikka Seppänen. Seppänen said that Veikkaus was indeed happy to be collaborating with Playtech on this important next chapter for the supplier and added that the company was selected after a comprehensive public procurement process designed to select the best partners.

"With Playtech's network of Live games and their support in setting up our dedicated Veikkaus-branded studio, we are excited to offer our Finnish players an immersive and authentic gaming experience," Seppänen.

Apart from building a more diverse gaming proposition, Veikkaus has similarly been seeking to strengthen other aspects of its offer as well, including but not limited to player protection.
