The leading global gaming company that provides technology, services, retail and digital products to government-sponsored lotteries and sports betting programs, Scientific Games, has announced it secured an important supplier accreditation.
Earlier this week, the company revealed it achieved an iCAP Ready supplier accreditation from the American nonprofit organization, the National Council on Problem Gambling (NGCPG).
The aforementioned iCAP Ready accreditation is a version of the Council's Internet Compliance Assessment Program that applies to suppliers.
Ultimately, the accreditation reaffirms that Scientific Games meets the highest standard for consumer protection with its iLottery platform.
The iCAP Ready accreditation is a testament that the platform meets the user requirements for safe online lottery play.
To secure the certification, Scientific Games has gone through an independent assessment conducted by responsible gaming experts.
Throughout that process, the company's player protection framework, tools as well as responsible gambling policies have undergone scrutiny.
In addition, the assessment looked into Scientific Games' employee training and the company's overall commitment to safer gambling and compliance.
Successfully securing the NCPG's certification marks an important milestone for the leading gaming company that currently powers more than 30 lotteries with its iLottery technology and solutions.
In March this year, a fellow company in the gambling sector, PrizePicks, also achieved iCAP accreditation from the NCPG.
Before that, the NCPG awarded iCAP Ready accreditation to the globally recognizable gaming company, International Game Technology (IGT).
Andrew Jackson, Scientific Games' VP, Corporate Responsibility, said about the newly obtained iCAP Ready certification: "We are honored to achieve this important iCAP supplier accreditation from NCPG."
Moreover, the executive pointed out: "Our government-regulated lottery customers can be assured that Scientific Games' iLottery platform and solution meet the highest standards in the US for responsible gaming and player protection."
Jaime Costello, NCPG's Director of Programs, recognized that the iCAP Ready accreditation reaffirms Scientific Games' leadership in responsible gambling.
"This accomplishment reflects a thoughtful and proactive approach to player protection, and we commend their commitment to aligning with best practices that support player well-being," the executive said in conclusion.
Late in March, Scientific Games and the Florida Lottery extended their successful partnership.
The first time the duo joined forces was nearly 40 years ago.
