The globally recognizable gaming company, International Game Technology (IGT), announced it secured an important accreditation, highlighting its efforts toward player protection and responsible gaming standards.

IGT secures iCAP Ready accreditation for iLottery operations

The company confirmed that its iLottery operations were recognized with the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) Ready accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling, the leading nonprofit organization that combats problem gambling and harm.

The prestigious accreditation marks the first iCAP Ready recognition for a gaming industry supplier, acknowledging IGT's extensive responsible gambling efforts.

To secure the recognition, the company has undergone an audit by an external independent agency.

This audit analyzed IGT's responsible gaming practices and policies, among other operations.

Once the audit was completed, a wide-reaching compliance assessment was conducted by another company on behalf of the NCPG.

Consequently, IGT was recognized as compliant with the iCAP Ready's standards, demonstrating efforts to ensure the well-being of players.

Wendy Montgomery, IGT's SVP Marketing, Communications and Sustainability, shared her excitement on the matter in a statement.

"Being the first gaming industry supplier to achieve the iCAP Ready certification for our iLottery business is a testament to IGT's comprehensive responsible gaming processes and practices implemented throughout the organization, and our dedication to protecting our employees, customers, and players worldwide," she revealed.

Finally, Montgomery said: "With Advancing Responsibility as a core pillar of IGT's Sustainable Play program, we aim to meet and exceed responsible gaming standards as a trusted supplier to ensure that our customers are provided with the necessary tools to keep their players safe and promote positive play."

The accreditation represents an important achievement

Keith Whyte, the National Council on Problem Gambling's Executive Director, praised IGT for becoming the first gaming industry supplier to secure iCAP Ready accreditation.

"This achievement showcases IGT's leadership and demonstrates that suppliers play a crucial role in ensuring player protection and promoting responsible play," he added.

iCAP Ready is an accreditation that is based on the original gaming-focused iCAP.

However, iCAP Ready targets gaming industry suppliers, assessing their efforts toward responsible gaming by offering support tools and adequate employee training.

Earlier this month, IGT achieved a top score in the 2025 Corporate Equality Index in a move that recognized its efforts toward diversity, equity and inclusion.

The company reached top score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's 2025 Corporate Equality Index.

This recognition acknowledged IGT's dedication to promoting workplace inclusion, diversity and equality.
