As SBC Summit 2025 is now less than four weeks away and the finalists for the Final Pitch competition have been revealed, the event hosts continue to drop interesting pieces of news tied to the event’s overall operation and direction.
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, the event will hold the Emerging Markets conference track, fully dedicated to addressing some of the most pressing issues in markets such as the Philippines and India, both of which have undergone some significant changes with more regulatory developments poised to take place over the coming months.
The conference track will examine markets with a combined value of more than $18.3bn for 2024 alone, which are poised to grow. The Asia-focused track will come on the third day of the event, part of the Emerging Markets Stage, with the previous two days dedicated to Africa and Eurasia, and the Middle East.

There will be a number of pivotal discussions held around markets in the region, including the panel Asia: Navigating Regulation, Opportunity and Uncertainty, featuring
Next, and more relevant than ever, will be India’s Regulatory Roadmap: The Next Decade for Gaming, which comes at a crucial time – India’s total ban of online gambling, which is set to dramatically change the narrative around the panel and what industry experts may have been preparing for. The panel will reunite:
The panel Philippines: Life after POGOs will touch on how the local gambling market is shaping up after a series of regulatory and legislative moves, as well as a new looming prospect of a ban.
The Emerging Markets conference tracks, with a focus on Asia, are a must-attend for anyone who is interested in addressing the rapidly evolving gaming industry landscape in the region.
