Rapper Offset and Cardi B’s ex shot near Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

A famous rapper, Offset, was shot on Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and was taken to the hospital.

The rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and is best known for his participation in the Migos trio, is out of an immediate danger, a spokesperson told media publications.

The shooting took place at around 7 pm near the valet area of the hotel with the Seminole Police Department still investigating.

"We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored," a spokesperson said.

The case remains under tight wraps with initially no publicly released information as to what has led to the shooting, whether suspects have been arrested, or other details about the incident.

What is known is that an indivudal was shot at the location after 7 pm and was transporeted to the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. He was identified as Offset.

However, media outlets such as CBS News has reported that two individuals have been detained by the police.

Further details as to the use of video footage from surveillance cameras may yet be used to help identify the shooter(s) and clarify the situation.
