SBC has revealed the inaugural SBC Summit Tbilisi event which will be hosted in the Georgian capital and reunite some of the best iGaming and gambling industry specialists from the Black Sea Region, Central Asia, and the Balkans, the company announced in a press release shared with Casino Guru News via email.
The event is hosted in collaboration with SMH, a Georgia-based company that focuses on iGaming and sports management, which will help SBC in hosting an event that is fit for the purpose. SBC and SMH have already worked before, and organized the SBCSummit CIS that was held in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2021.
The upcoming industry gathering is scheduled for October 23-24, 2023, at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace. The event also arrives at an important time for the industry, as there are numerous changes experienced in the regulatory makeup in countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Ukraine, Romania, and Georgia.
Tbilisi makes for a perfect gathering spot, too, as the country offers visa-free travel and will make it easier for delegates and gambling industry representatives to travel and meet up. SMH Founder and CEO Lasha Machavariani welcomed the opportunity to strengthen the organization’s ties with SBC through the arrival of SBC Summit Tbilisi. Machavariani added:
"Anticipating over 1000 delegates — key operators, affiliates, suppliers, regulators, associations and media — in attendance, this event presents a remarkable opportunity for participants to network, exchange ideas, and foster innovation in the iGaming and sports betting sectors."
SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark was similarly pleased to have the opportunity and work with SMH again to bring SBC Summit Tbilisi to more than a thousand delegates.
"This event will provide a valuable platform to explore the latest trends and developments in some of the most rapidly evolving regions that have been experiencing unprecedented growth," Sojmark stated confidently, and added that Tbilisi is truly the right place for industry professionals from these regions to meet up and exchange knowledge and know-how.
The arrival of the event was also welcomed by Andrew McCarron, who is the Managing Director at SBC, who said that SBC Summit Tbilisi will focus on exploring business opportunities as well as educational opportunities, which is what makes this gathering so important for regional and global companies.
