Rush Street Interactive launches casino and sportsbook in Peru

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has launched its online casino and sportsbook in Peru, expanding further into the coveted market in Latin America, as the company seeks to further consolidate its presence in what it sees as a core jurisdiction.

The overall Latin American push by RSI has been well-documented and is a focal point of the company’s efforts to spur growth and sustainability.

"This launch is not just about entering a new market; it's about building on our vision to create an engaging, unique Online Gaming experience across the Americas," said RSI CEO Richard Schwartz.

Prior to launching into Peru, a market of over 30m people, the company similarly rolled out its offer in Mexico in 2022 where it has been a highly successful iGaming platform. The company first planned its banner on the Latin American market in Colombia all the way back in 2018, and has been looking to expand further.

Commenting on this new opportunity, Schwartz has welcomed the "pivotal step" into the Peruvian iGaming market, welcoming it as another foothold to expand into Latin America.

"This move allows us to leverage our proven operational expertise in Latin America, particularly the brand equity and operational efficiencies we've built in the region over the past six years," Schwartz said.

Schwartz is also confident about the company’s early-day success in the market, arguing that local audiences are already familiar with the offer through the ESPN and DirectTV broadcasts and offerings.

He similarly paid tribute to Peru, celebrating the country’s digital growth and deeply rooted sports culture that makes it an ideal place to pitch the company’s tent.

Schwartz said that Peru is expected to become a "key component" of the business’s tentatively but firmly expanding Latin American portfolio.

He similarly assured that RushBet, the brand that is running the show, is a well-established top-tier operator that has already proven its worth in other markets and demonstrated its ability to engage and retain fans.

RSI set to deliver a wide range of iGaming and sports betting experiences

To drive the sort of success needed to set itself apart in new markets, RushBet’s product has pivoted towards both sports betting and online gaming but also imbued this with the presence of various clever and successful marketing tools, such as tournaments, multiplayer gameplay, player-to-player chat, social elements, and more.

Not least, there is the sportsbook that is now set to bring the world’s biggest sports events to Peruvians, whether this is the Premier League, the National Football Association, Formula 1, Peruvian Liga 1, or anything else that tickles sports aficionados’ fancy.

Similarly, Rush Street Interactive has been investing more steadily into the company’s responsible play and player protection tools, with the addition of solutions such as Neccton as early as 2022.
