The global leader in delivering retail and digital games, analytics, services and technology, powering government-sponsored lottery and betting platforms, Scientific Games, strengthened its C-suite with a new appointment.
The company announced Tuesday it hired the former Facebook and Amazon exec, Rich Wasserman, to the strategic role of Senior Vice President of Product Engineering.
Overall, Wasserman brings more than two decades of experience in data science and engineering.
Throughout his extensive career, he helped lead organizations and develop high-performance technology platforms.
As SVP of Product Engineering at Scientific Games, Wasserman will be responsible for the company's global product portfolio, which powers government-regulated lotteries.
The newly appointed executive will help advance hardware and software platforms, bolstering innovation.
Moreover, Wasserman will play a major role in the expansion of Scientific Games' analytics capabilities and strengthen consumer engagement.
Ultimately, the efforts of the new SVP of Product Engineering are expected to bring long-term value to Scientific Games' growing portfolio of partners across the globe.
Only recently, the company confirmed the appointment of Ovie Doro to the role of SVP Data, Analytics and AI.
Pat McHugh, Scientific Games' Chief Executive Officer, spoke with excitement about the latest senior-level appointment, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"We're excited to add Rich's deep technical expertise scaling innovative, AI-driven platforms at world-class organizations to further strengthen Scientific Games' technology leadership," he said.
Finally, McHugh pointed out: "As we continue investing in innovation and analytics across retail and digital lottery solutions, his experience and leadership will help us deliver the next generation of high-performance products that drive sustainable growth for our lottery customers worldwide."
Wasserman has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Buffalo.
Before joining Scientific Games, he was most recently employed by Stitch Fix.
At the time, Wasserman held the role of Vice President of Engineering and Data Science, helping lead integrated teams that focused on platform optimization and automation.
Throughout his lengthy career, he also held a number of senior leadership roles at Facebook and Amazon, among other companies.
