Playtech and Buzz Bingo continue to work together as the tech giant has released its single instance Wallet that will now power the latter brand’s physical clubs and online operations. Playtech confirmed the news in a press release shared on its official website.
The single instance Wallet is powered by the IMS platform, developed by Playtech. This solution enables Buzz Bingo’s online and retail environments to "connect," and offer an advanced omnichannel experience in terms of payment potential and gameplay. Commenting on this, Playtech VP of Interactive Gaming Marat Koss said that this partnership was a major milestone for Buzz Bingo and the long-term collaboration between the companies.
"An incredible amount of work has gone into achieving a seamless single Wallet connectivity across all retail and online operations, both from our team and everyone at Buzz Bingo," Koss added.
Playtech is one of the earliest developers of omnichannel gameplay bringing physical and interactive gaming experiences together. The company has couched this ambition in the Playtech ONE project, which seeks to bring the two verticals closer together. As a result, players may participate in various bingo and slot games, both at retail venues or remotely, and use a single account for the purpose.
The Playtech ONE project enables consumers to bank effortlessly and move their online and retail funds quickly and intuitively. Withdrawing of winnings can also be done in any location, the company has confirmed. Playtech’s solution also boosts cross-channel CRM and offers better engagement across the board for what the company argues is a seamless player experience.
Buzz Bingo Digital Operations Director David Evans hailed the collaboration and its most recent form. Evans said that the partnership between the two companies has been vital for Buzz Bingo’s business and long-term strategy.
The COVID-19 challenges and popularization of the interactive gaming market have not posed as much trouble thanks to the partnership with Playtech which enabled Buzz Bingo to continue delivering excellent products in new forms. "It’s truly ground-breaking," Evans concluded.
Playtech has worked on a number of bingo projects in the past. In March, the company debuted a bingo product built around horse racing. Playtech was one of the early movers in the newly-regulated Ontario iGaming market in Canada. Beyond bingo, Playtech rolled out a new live game show for Ladbrokes in April and has been working closely with the brand.
