GiG appoints Andreas Söneby as member of the GiG Platform Board

The leading iGaming technology company, offering solutions, services and products to gambling companies across the globe, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), strengthened its C-suite with an important senior-level appointment.

Andreas Söneby joins GiG Platform’s Board of Directors

Last week, the company confirmed it appointed the executive with extensive gaming experience, Andreas Söneby, to the Board of Directors of GiG Platform.

A statement released by GiG confirms that the executive's appointment is with immediate effect.

The senior-level appointment comes during an important time for the company as it plans to continue growing and expanding its reach.

Concurrently, the appointment complements GiG's goal of becoming a go-to provider for the gambling industry.

The company confirmed that the "GiG Platform Board is temporarily a committee of the board of directors of GiG dedicated to the Platform & Sportsbook vertical until the spin off."

Joining the board, Söneby fills in the spot of Tomasz Juroszek, who will no longer serve on the GiG Platform Board.

In light of the recent appointment, the GiG Platform Board now consists of Söneby, Nicolas Adlercreutz, Hessi Mocca, Mikael Riese Harstad, as well as Petter Nylander, who serves as a Chair.

This summer, GiG strengthened its presence in Ontario after signing a strategic agreement with the leading iGaming and fintech company, Ventures Lab.

Per that collaboration, the company agreed to supply Ventures Lab with its award-winning iGaming tools and platform.

The executive brings solid experience and exceptional skills

Petter Nylander, GiG Software's Chairman, shared his excitement about the latest appointment.

He explained that the company is thrilled to see Söneby join the GiG Platform Board.

"His deep industry knowledge and leadership experience will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our position as a leading player in the gaming industry," added Nylander.

Finally, the executive said: "We are confident that Andreas' insights and expertise will bring significant value to our board and to the company as a whole."

Before joining GiG, Söneby accumulated significant experience and knowledge within the gaming vertical.

As a proven leader with a wide range of skills, the executive is undoubtedly going to play a key role by providing strategic advice.

Söneby's professional career includes a C-suite role with Kambi.

During his tenure with the company, he served as Chief Information Officer and played a key role in the company's technology strategy, as well as growth initiatives.

On the other hand, Söneby was also a part of Unibet Group plc.

At that time, he served as IT Director and CTO.

Ultimately, the two companies have seen exponential growth under Söneby's guidance.
