The incoming Gaming in Germany Conference event is set to take place on Tuesday, November 11, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin. The event will reunite some of the most prominent regulatory and industry figures and address the most pressing topics that affect the industry today.
In light of this, the hosts have continued to add more prominent figures who are set to influence the agenda and address topics ranging from regulation to market competitiveness to the looming threat of the offshore market, which continues to gnaw into the regulated market and siphon players away.
Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder Head of Licensing and Market Supervision, Sebastian Buchholz, will fittingly deliver a keynote address. He will be attending an event that will welcome several heavyweights, including:
Among the other attendees to join are Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of Deutscher Online Casinoverband (DOCV), and Mathias Dahms, President, Deutscher Sportwettenverband (DSWV), as well as Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).
All three bodies they represent are influential, with EGBA influencing policymaking and industry development well beyond Germany. Commenting on the continually growing agenda and important guests coming, Gaming in Germany Founder Willem van Oort said:
"I am extremely pleased with this year's speaker lineup. I think it speaks of the relevance of our event, and especially the key topics that we are highlighting this year: the threat of the black market and the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty. I see that licensed operators are highly committed to making the German iGaming market more sustainable and competitive and I am very happy that we are trusted to play a role in promoting fruitful discussion and debate on these topics."
