The global lottery content, solutions and technology provider, Brightstar Lottery PLC, reaffirmed its leadership by receiving its first score in the 2025 S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), recognizing it as a pure play lottery company.

The announcement came on Tuesday, highlighting the company's strong sustainability performance and leadership in the vertical, scoring nearly double the industry benchmark.

Brightstar Lottery maintains focus on sustainability

Currently, the CSA score of the lottery industry is an average of 31.

In contrast, Brightstar Lottery recently obtained an overall score of 56, a figure that is a testament to its reliability, sustainability and dedication to the sector.

Besides confirming the score, which is nearly double the industry average, Brightstar Lottery announced it has been included in this year's S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook.

This achievement marks another testament to its exceptional performance in the S&P Global CSA.

For nearly three decades, the CSA, together with Dow Jones Indices helped create the global sustainability benchmark.

Using a best-in-class approach, CSA is overreaching and doesn't exclude industries from its assessment.

Presently, the CSA compares companies within 61 different industries.

Each company is given a score between 0 and 100 based on roughly 20 financially relevant sustainability benchmarks, taking into consideration environmental, social and economic factors.

Wendy Montgomery, Brightstar Lottery's SVP, Branding, Communications and Sustainability, spoke with excitement about the latest announcement, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Brightstar Lottery's achievement of receiving an S&P Global CSA score of 56 for the first time as a pure play lottery company showcases our continuous commitment to leading the lottery industry in global sustainability," she said.

Moreover, Montgomery pointed out: "We ensure sustainable practices are woven into the fabric of our corporate identity through strategic sustainability efforts focused on our most important stakeholders."

Finally, the executive acknowledged that Brightstar Lottery is proud to be added to the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for 2026 as the company remains focused on building a sustainable future.
