The fast-growing, world-class esports organization founded and based in Berlin, Germany, Berlin International Gaming (BIG), announced the launch of a unique esports activation in collaboration with SUBWAY, the world's largest sandwich chain. By joining forces, the two seek to deliver unique experiences, as well as activations for the growing esports community in Germany.

Although details of the CS:GO campaign emerged last week, SUBWAY and BIG confirmed that their collaboration kicked off in March with different interactive activations within digital channels. What's upcoming, is an innovative tournament format that German Counter-Strike fans are undoubtedly going to like. The unique tournament, planned to take place this summer, will be held via the in-house GoBIG League, a statement released by BIG reveals.

The tournament is going to deliver unique experiences for BIG fans, amateur players and esports fans alike. The CS:GO tournament will "turn the previous norms of the well-known competition upside down" by featuring nostalgic Counter-Strike maps such as fy_poolday and he_tennis.

What's more, BIG pro players will participate in mixed teams with the community, taking the experience to a whole new level. The unique CS:GO tournament will be broadcasted by BIG and streamed via its Twitch channel. The famous esports organization vowed to share more details about the upcoming tournament soon.

Berkan Güngör, SUBWAY's Digital Marketing Manager, shared his excitement about the new collaboration saying: "It is a great pleasure for us to work with Berlin International Gaming, such a likeable and authentic gaming organization." He added that SUBWAY is delighted to engage with the growing esports CS:GO German audience and help it grow.

Güngör said: "The upcoming tournament, which includes a lot of attention to detail, is a small contribution to the lively and active CS scene in Germany." Finally, he said that the company is proud to join forces with BIG and is looking forward to the success the new collaboration will bring.

Daniel Finkler, BIG's CEO, was similarly delighted about the deal with SUBWAY. He acknowledged that BIG has been collaborating with the famous sandwich chain since March in a campaign that is planned to end at some point this summer. Finally, Finkler said: "In addition to digital formats on our channels around the existing event coverage, we are now looking forward to an exciting and entertaining tournament format in June, which we will realize together with Subway within our GoBIG League for the German community."
