AGS selects Robert Ziems for Chief Legal Officer

The leading supplier of high-performing table, slot and interactive products and services for the global gambling industry, AGS, announced a senior-level change earlier this week. The company confirmed Monday it hired the services of Robert Ziems as its new Chief Legal Officer. The appointment is with immediate effect and according to a statement released by AGS, Ziems succeeds Victor Gallo. Gallo has retired from the company's General Counsel position after holding it since 2010. Still, despite the senior-level change, he will continue to be a part of AGS and serve as Secretary.

Ziems has a Bachelor's degree of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida but he also holds a law degree from Drake University School of Law. Additionally, he has an MBA from Indiana University and has a significant experience within the global gaming industry.

Overall, Ziems brings more than two decades of experience to AGS after holding key positions with leading companies within the gaming sector. His gaming industry career started at Station Casino where he held the role of Associate General Counsel. After that, Ziems was a part of Aristocrat Technology as Associate General Counsel.

Throughout his professional career, he was also a part of Mikohn Gaming, a company that was more popular as Progressive Gaming International Corporation. At that time, Ziems supervised and managed the company's human resources, compliance, legal and internal audit teams. Additionally, his responsibilities included the company's corporate-facing arm as well.

More notably, before joining AGS, Ziems was a part of Azure Gaming America, a fast-growing company within the global casino gaming industry. He was a part of Azure for more than 12 years and during that time, he held multiple leadership-level roles such as President, Global Chief Legal Officer, as well as Corporate Secretary.

Throughout Ziems' extensive career with Azure, he was in charge of the company's regulatory compliance, business development, global legal affairs, as well as procurement within the Americas regions. Being a part of such as leading company, he was able to accumulate invaluable knowledge and unique experience. Now, as a part of AGS, Ziems delivers more than 24 years of experience within the betting vertical.
