The provider of odds and esports data, Abios, strengthened its senior-level team with a new addition.
The company has announced it appointed the former Danske Spil executive, Rasmus Schmidt Christensen, to the newly created role of Head of Odds Operations.
Joining Abios, the executive with nearly a decade of experience in the esports vertical will provide strategic advice.
Christensen will help guide the product development of the company and collaborate with its executive-level team.
Ultimately, his efforts are expected to help bridge Abios' automated odds offering and trading, allowing the company to expand the delivery of its products that guarantee outstanding customer experiences.
Abios is a part of Kambi Group and has more than a decade of experience in esports. It currently provides stream-live data for popular games, including Dota 2, VALORANT, League of Legends and Counter-Strike.
This quality data powers betting operators, esports teams, search engines and other stakeholders across the globe.
Undoubtedly the latest senior-level addition will strengthen Abios' team, paving the way for its further success and growth.
Christensen revealed in a statement that it is exciting to join Abios after spending years in the esports vertical.
"As they’re building new and exciting products on top of best-in-class data and modeling, Abios is at a very exciting growth stage," he added.
Finally, Christensen pointed out: "I'm happy to be part of the next step in that journey."
Before becoming a part of the C-suite at Abios, the executive was a part of Danske Spil, the leading Danish operator.
Overall, he spent nearly a decade with the operator. During that time, he gradually assumed additional responsibilities, allowing him to accumulate significant experience within sports betting and esports verticals.
Although Christensen's career at Danske Spill started as a sports trader, he was later appointed as Esports Product Specialist, a key role in the company's esports operations.
Anton Janér, Abios' Managing Director, was also excited about the latest senior-level appointment.
He spoke about the growing popularity of the esports segment among online betting operators.
"For sportsbooks to stay competitive in the area, working with people who truly understand esports is paramount," added Janér.
Moreover, Abios' Managing Director said that its growing team of experts includes a range of professionals with esports experience.
"Rasmus is no different, having spent significant time at Danske Spil improving their esports vertical," he added.
Finally, Janér pointed out: "We're thrilled to have him on board and look forward to seeing him taking our offering to the next level."
