888 Holdings, the company behind the namesake casino, betting, and poker brands, has confirmed that it will be withdrawing the 888poker platform from New Jersey on June 3, 2024, the company shared via a customer email, marking the latest in a string of changes that the company has undergone over the past several weeks. Come the date, the platform, including the website and app, will no longer be available as part of the market’s offer.

The 888casino NJ app will also disappear from the Google Play and App Store, marking the final withdrawal of the company from the market. This withdrawal will not lead to disruption of normal poker operations, and specifically vis-à-vis the World Series of Poker qualifiers in the Garden State, which we understand will be moved to the dedicated WSOP NJ platform instead.

The company confirmed the withdrawal of 888casino and 888poker in a customer email that outlined the process. The statement was also reposted on social media, including X, preparing users for the imminent shutdown.

This move is really not at all surprising, as 888 Holdings has already confirmed that, as part of its rebranding to evoke, and cut down on B2C assets in the United States to prioritize B2B operations, the company is going to initiative some restructuring of its business assets.

888 Holdings has also received the blessing of its shareholders to move forward with the rebranding as evoke. In a LinkedIn post on Monday, May 13, the company said that it was leafing a new page in its history as an entity.

"Today, we officially start our next chapter as evoke plc. Evoke is a symbol of our new direction. A direction that builds on our strengths and allows us to move forward as one multi-brand group with a united strategy, vision, and identity. We’re excited to share more from evoke in the weeks and months ahead," the operator’s official page said.
