One lucky player won a record prize playing "The Lion’s Share" on the popular daytime series, "The Price is Right."
The winner, a woman from Virginia, scored a sweet $240,000 in cash, setting a new record for the largest single-game win in the history of the daytime show.
Last year in January, BetMGM inked a multi-year deal with Fremantle, obtaining the intellectual property rights for online slots, table games and non-traditional casino games for the iconic game shows, "Family Feud," as well as "The Price is Right."
In September 2025, during the premier episode of the 54th season of "The Price is Right," the first custom-branded game, "The Lion’s Share," was introduced.
The engaging game, which grants players a chance to win up to $500,000 in cash, cars and trips along with other prizes, is the direct result of the partnership between BetMGM and Fremantle.
At the start of the game, players are asked to guess the prices of everyday items.
Guessing the correct answer earns the players one ball for a maximum of five.
After that, the players step into a wind tunnel chamber where they collect the number of balls they have earned.
While each ball corresponds to a different number, the game also has a "Lose It All" ball.
Upon collecting the balls, the players reveal them one by one and if they want to stop, they can do so at any point, keeping the amount they have won.
The lucky Virginia woman, whose name is Vanesa, beat the previous record prize won in a single game, which was set in 2016 when a player won $210,000.
"From 'Come on Down' to playing 'The Lion's Share,' it all felt so surreal - a dream moment that only kept getting bigger. I was nervous, excited and everything at once," the lucky winner commented in a press release.
Moreover, Vanesa pointed out: "Winning over $200,000 is changing life. I plan to invest wisely, enjoy a little and treat my mom to a special surprise."
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, spoke about the company’s ongoing dedication to delivering legendary moments.
"Our partnership with Fremantle was designed to bring the thrill of BetMGM gameplay to life on one of television's most iconic game shows," he added.
Finally, Prevost pointed out: "That vision was delivered in a historic way during Vanesa's record-breaking win on 'The Lion's Share.'"
