On Tuesday, The Lott confirmed that the New England resident scored a 1st Prize winning entry from its latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw for a sweet AU$200,000 ($131,900) payout.

Entry with four random numbers brings hefty win

The woman's name wasn't publicly released. However, The Lott confirmed that she purchased her winning entry with four random numbers via its official app.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are part of the lottery's raffle-style games.

As such games, there is no sharing of prizes as each draw has a set number of tickets.

The fortunate Tenterfield woman scored the 1st Prize winning entry from Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot's draw 1720 from Monday, September 22, 2025.

The aforementioned game is quite popular across Australia, considering that in FY25, Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries awarded more than AU$20.5m ($13.5m) to 182 lottery players.

The winner is looking forward to new wheels

An official from The Lott contacted the lucky Tenterfield woman to notify her about her newfound fortune.

Answering the phone and hearing about the life-enhancing win, the woman said it was unbelievable.

"I need to sit down. I’m so shocked and the tears are coming thick and fast," she exclaimed.

Moreover, the lucky winner added: "Hold on a minute – I’m going to go tell my mum I’ve just won $200,000! We both can’t believe it."

Asked about her plans for her newfound fortune, the woman admitted that she needs to buy a new car, hence the win comes at the perfect time.

Finally, the New England resident said: "This is going to do so much for me. It’ll help in more ways than you can imagine. For now, I just need a few minutes to sit down in silence and process what has just happened."
