A two-day police operation in Washington State resulted in the arrest of several suspects, seizure of controlled substances, drugs and firearms.
On Saturday, the Clallam County Sheriff's Office uncovered details about a multi-agency operation led by the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET) in Clallam County.
On Tuesday, OPNET agents hit a drug-dealing operation in Clallam County, arresting two local residents.
As the investigation into the unlawful activity continued, detectives uncovered information about a group of several individuals suspected of being involved in the sale of controlled substances and illicit drugs.
OPNET agents, assisted by several other agencies, found out that the suspects were staying at the 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim.
The group of Kitsap County residents was "actively involved in selling controlled substances in Clallam County," a statement from the Sheriff's Office reads.
In collaboration with 7 Cedars Casino security personnel and local law enforcement, OPNET detectives identified the location of the suspects and made contact.
The police operation led to the arrest of a 35-year-old male suspect, a Kitsap County resident, who was detained for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
In light of his arrest, a search resulted in the seizure of 196.37 grams of fentanyl packaged for distribution, a digital scale, packaging materials and two loaded pistol magazines.
Executing a search warrant on the 35-year-old suspect's car, police found and seized a .45 caliber pistol along with ammunition.
Due to having prior felony convictions, the suspect was arrested and booked not only on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, but also Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
During the police operation at 7 Cedars Casino, police identified and arrested a second suspect, a 43-year-old Kitsap County resident.
A search on the suspect's vehicle uncovered fentanyl, a digital scale with substance residue, documents with drug sales data, as well as a bolt-action shotgun and a 9mm pistol.
Similar to the first suspect, the 43-year-old man had prior felony convictions and was prohibited from owning firearms.
As a result, he was booked into the Clallam County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
The bail of each of the two suspects was set at $250,000.
During the police operation at 7 Cedars Casino, OPNET agents and local law enforcement detained a third suspect, a 41-year-old Key Peninsula resident.
The suspect was found in possession of a 9mm pistol without the necessary concealed weapons permit.
He was booked into the Clallam County Jail on charges of Unlawful Carry of a Firearm, with his bond set at $30,000.
Nearly $20,000 in cash, which is believed to be proceeds from drug distribution, was also found and seized.
