Stolen lottery tickets

A man from South Carolina has landed in jail after he was arrested on September 29, 2026. The reason behind the arrest is the fact that the man was caught trying to cash in stolen lottery tickets.

Authorities responded quickly and apprehended Zarmonn Brushaud Boyd, a 27-year-old Gaffney resident, charging him with second-degree burglary.

Boyd is believed to have stolen scratch-off lottery tickets in Cherokee County on September 26, 2026, and a warrant for his arrest had already been issued by the time he was apprehended.

Boyd is believed to have stolen the tickets from the Ingles Market grocery store at 410 West 3rd St. in Gaffney. A bond for his release has been set at $25,000, but it has not been posted.

The amount that Boyd allegedly stole in lottery scratchers was not revealed by authorities. No further information about the case is available.
