An incredibly lucky woman in Michigan felt overwhelmed with emotion after winning a six-figure jackpot.

The player tried the Michigan Lottery’s Diamond Wild Time Progressive Fast Cash and won 50% of the jackpot only recently.

$5 Fast Cash ticket brings life-changing jackpot

The fortunate woman, a Tuscola County resident, decided to remain anonymous.

She purchased her $5 winning ticket at Dreams Do Come True on 809 East Huron Road in Bad Axe.

The 65-year-old player was initially playing Club Keno.

However, after winning a few dollars, the woman decided to try her luck with a Fast Cash ticket.

In Michigan, there are more than a dozen Fast Cash games that offer a progressive jackpot and grant players a chance to either win it instantly or take home a share.

Surprisingly, the $5.00 Diamond Wild Time Progressive Fast Cash ticketbrought the Tuscola County woman 50% of the jackpot for a sweet $309,125 payday.

Winning felt like a blessing for the fortunate woman

The incredibly lucky woman said in an interview for the Michigan Lottery that she didn’t see the win on her ticket initially.

"I looked over the ticket and didn’t see any wins, but I gave it to the bartender to scan just to be sure," the woman explained.

Once the bartender scanned the ticket, the woman saw a message to file a claim with the Michigan Lottery.

A person sitting next to the 65-year-old woman offered to scan her ticket with the Michigan Lottery’s app.

"When he told me I’d won $309,125, I started laughing, screaming, and crying! I felt so many emotions all at once. This prize such a blessing," the winner said, recalling the moment of the life-changing win.

The player visited the Lottery headquarters earlier this week to claim her newfound fortune.

Asked about her plans for the jackpot, the player said she will put it into savings and buy a car.
