The Michigan Lottery continues to grow its portfolio of instant games.
Only recently, the Lottery announced the release of Back to the Future, a new scratch-off ticket offering prizes of up to $500,000.
The newest addition to the growing portfolio of Michigan Lottery instant games officially launches on April 7, 2026.
The price tag of the brand-new, Back to the Future-themed instant game is $5.
Tapping into the new instant game, players have a chance to win a prize between $5 up to a life-changing $500,000.
In 2025, the Michigan Lottery has awarded more than $1.7bn in prizes to players across the state via instant games.
Tickets for the new scratch-off game can be purchased via retail outlets across Michigan, a press release from the Lottery confirms.
There are a total of three top prizes of $500,000 each from the Back to the Future scratch-off ticket.
The instant game also offers tier-two prizes of $2,000 each and there are a total of 10 of those for grabs.
A tier-three prize from the $5 instant game awards $500 and there are 260 such prizes for grabs.
Referencing to the popular movie franchise, a tier-four prize awards $88 and there are 5,397 such prizes in play.
Within the lower prize tiers, between $50 and $5, thousands of prizes await the players.
Each Back to the Future ticket grants players 15 chances to win a prize.
Matching their "Time Machine Numbers" to the "Winning Numbers" awards a prize.
Players can also win by revealing a winning "Radiation," "Flux Capacitor," or "88 MPH" symbol.
Fortunate players who match any of their "Time Machine Numbers" to the ticket’s "Outatime Number" win all 15 prizes in the game.
In total, there are more than 2 million prizes in play from the Back to the Future ticket, translating to more than $26m in cash payouts.
The overall odds of winning any prize from the new game are 1 in 4.02.
