Four friends, who have been playing the lottery for nearly two decades, finally won a life-altering, multi-million-dollar win.
Only recently, The Lott, the brand that operates lotteries in Australia, confirmed that four Mornington Peninsula friends, part of a private lottery syndicate, scored a mouth-watering TattsLotto win.
The winners scored a division one winning entry from TattsLotto's draw 4609 on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
On that draw, winning numbers 27, 10, 5, 38, 25 and 26, along with supplementary numbers 34 and 15, were drawn.
The winning System 10 entry by the four Mornington Peninsula friends is one out of a total of three division one entries.
Each entry is looking forward to a sweet AU$2,162,532.87 ($1.4m) payday.
Besides their entry from Victoria, two other division one winning entries came from Western Australia.
So far, in 2025, 310 people across Australia have won division one winning entries. Out of that total, 121 entries came from Tatts customers.
On the other hand, in FY25, TattsLotto helped make 165 people across Australia millionaires, The Lott said.
The Lott contacted the Mornington Peninsula ticket holder to notify him about the big win.
The fortunate winner thanked the Lottery official and added: "It’s been a funny couple of days! We’ve had the same TattsLotto entry going for 17 whole years and can’t believe it."
Considering they played for years, the private lottery syndicate admitted to only winning a division three prize before.
The lucky winner said it is great to finally win a division one prize.
"I told the other three guys the exciting news, and we had a virtual meeting over the weekend," the leader of the private lottery syndicate added.
As is usual, the Lottery official asked the fortunate man about his plans on how he intends to spend his share of the lottery prize.
The man said with excitement: "I’ll be paying off the mortgage that’s for sure!" He also thanked The Lott once again.
