An incredibly lucky Boca Raton, Florida resident saw a $30 scratch-off ticket turn into a life-changing win.
Earlier this week, the Florida Lottery announced that a 37-year-old man won a tier-two prize from the popular scratch-off game, $15,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier.
The fortunate player purchased his winning ticket at 7-Eleven, located at 20385 State Road 7 in Boca Raton.
Trying his luck with the $30 ticket, the man was surprised by a life-changing $1m win.
The prize won by the Boca Raton resident has odds of 1 in 3,650,860. However, this was clearly the man's lucky day as he scored one of the outstanding prizes.
After the $1m win, now, three such prizes remain in play.
The retailer that sold the winning ticket will benefit from a $2,000 bonus commission.
On the other hand, the fortunate winner recently visited the Florida Lottery's West Palm Beach District Office to claim his big win.
The lucky Palm Beach County lottery player chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump cash sum of $597,700.00. It's important to note that this is the lottery sum before the applicable state and federal taxes.
The $15,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier scratch-off game winner did not reveal any plans about his newfound fortune. Still, he will undoubtedly never forget the time he tried his luck with a $30 scratch-off ticket and scored a life-changing $1m prize.
Besides tier-two prizes of $1m each, the $15,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier scratch-off ticket offers a top prize of $15m.
The popular $30 scratch-off game launched back in September and out of a total of four top prizes, now, two remain in play.
The odds of winning the top $15m prize from the $15,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier are 1 in 5,476,290.
Overall, the game offers more than $486m in total cash prizes with the minimum prize being $30.
The overall odds of winning any prize from the popular scratch-off game are 1 in 2.60.
