Yggdrasil has expanded its network of partners in Germany. The supplier and developer of casino content have signed a new deal with Jokerstar, a brand owned by the land-based operator Kling Automaten GmbH, which was founded in 1954 and presently offers more than 165 Joker Casino arcades in the market.
Jokerstar was established to help with the company’s efforts in the regulated interactive casino market as it seeks to expand in new promising verticals. The reregulation of the German iGaming market made it particularly beneficial to companies to seek and get a foothold in the online gaming market.
The alliance is important as it allows Yggdrasil to grow its presence in the German iGaming market and particularly through the introduction of more of its Game Engagement Mechanics, collectively referred to as GEMs. Jokerstar is also a new entry in the iGaming market, launching in September 2021 and gradually building its reputation.
Part of this has been achieved through the addition of more prominent suppliers from the industry, the latest among which is Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil CCO Andrew Pegler welcomed the opportunity and said that the company was pleased to be entering into this partnership and especially so with an operator that has a firm foothold with local players.
"Jokerstar has been a leading entertainment company for years in the retail sector in the country and we are excited to contribute to their online expansion," Pegler said, acknowledging Jokerstar parent company’s successes in the land-based sector.
Jokerstar Project Manager and Business Development Nico Muller was similarly pleased with the new additions. He welcomed Yggdrasil and the content the company brought along with it, citing the numerous mechanics, features, and themes, that the company makes available through its games to Jokerstar players.
"Boasting a wide range of mechanics, features, and themes, we are certain the offering will be a hit with players," Mueller said and added that this new addition will further strengthen the operator’s position in the market and help it grow and secure an even further market share.
Yggdrasil has definitely been expanding its geographical reach. Part of the company’s strategy has been a partnership with Livespins. The studio has also developed and delivered a number of new titles, including Dungeon Tower Multimax, Fruit Gemz Splitz, and Cannonade! among a number of other titles.
