Good question, but I think it's best to see if this version will replace the old one or if the old one will still be playable. But for old school players it would probably be best if both versions were available. 😎👍

Yggdrasil, a leading developer of hard-hitting blockbuster slot games, has teamed up with fellow studio Thunderbolt Gaming for a second time to craft an exciting new game set in Ancient Egypt. The game, Rise and Fall of Ra, focuses on the mysticism around the hallow Egyptian deity, the Sun Gold himself, and it features six expanding reels, a Bonus Wheel feature, and free spins mode, giving players plenty to look forward to when they play, other than the game’s crips graphics and flawless gameplay.
The game sets out to reward players through a mix of special features and offers the eye-watering 531,441 ways towin, making it one of the most exciting titles on the bloc, and far exceeding the megaways slot titles out there that usually offer around 110,000 paylines.
Players who are keen to get into the Bonus Wheel game are offered the opportunity to do so through the Boost feature or use the Buy Bonus option to unlock the free spins, meaning that player choices matter. Rise and Fall of Ra is not the first time these two companies have worked together either, or it actually comes as part of an ongoing partnership.
Thunderbolt is a part of the YGG Masters program, which sees Yggdrasil collaborate with innovative iGaming studios and industry leaders to establish worthwhile gaming experiences drawing from its signature GATI technology. GATI allows for the final product to be fastly pre-configured so it is regulation-ready and therefore much easier to deploy.
Thunderbolt Gaming Head of Games Paul Malt welcomed the chance to see Yggdrasil work with his studio on the second game in the series as well. He touted the use of the Bons Wheel in the latest game as well, hailing the success of the title.
"With a diverse, ever-changing reelset to appeal to players of all tastes, we are confident that Rise and Fall of Ra will bring excitement to our fans across the globe," Malt noted. Meanwhile, Yggdrasil Chief Gaming Officer Mark McGinley was similarly pleased with the opportunity to see his company strengthen its ties with a YGG Masters partner.
The Ancient Egypt theme is definitely one that fascinates players and developers both, McGinley noted and said that the two companies will continue to explore mechanical and thematic collaborations beyond this particular game.
Similarly and not so long ago, Yggdrasil launched its King Arthur 10K WAYS game, another outstanding title that was developed with ReelPlay, and again as part of the company’s YG Masters program that pools designer acumen and prowess from across the industry.
