The Game LLC is seeking to expand and boost its geolocation services and capabilities through a partnership with Xpoint, a geolocation and verification specialist.
The partnership will add a further layer of security to The Game LLC’s operations, with the company running The UAE Lottery, and the first licensed lottery operator in the country.
Both companies have been licensed by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, which also allowed Wynn Resorts to build the Al Marjan Island Casino Resort project and is debating a filing by MGM Resorts International that is hoping to also secure a license to build a casino of its own in the United Arab Emirates. Suppliers such as Aristocrat have also applied.
Xpoint will now seek to ensure that local players comply with regulations and leverage powerful software to enforce compliance through the blocking of unauthorized connection and gaming attempts. Despite the high player volume, Xpoint is confident that it is up to the task, having provided flawless geolocation services in busy markets such as the United States.
Geolocation is a fairly new technology, which seeks to ensure that the players connect to a website, in this case the UAE Lottery are of the legal gambling age and only connecting from a location that is covered under the existing gambling rules.
Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir has welcomed the opportunity to work with one of the most influential gambling companies in the UAE, and said:
"We are thrilled to be the geolocation provider for The Game LLC and The UAE Lottery. This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering the most accurate and reliable geolocation services, ensuring compliance with the UAE's regulatory framework."
The Game LLC has been similarly upbeat about the tie-up, with Director of Lottery Operations Bishop Woosley, similarly pleased about the opportunity to tie-up presented.
"Engaging withXpointensures that The UAE Lottery meets the country's stringent data requirements. By utilizing a private cloud, all data remains on UAE soil, aligning with local regulations and ensuring the highest level of data security," Woosley added.
The United Arab Emirates has been slowly opening up to gambling in general The Game LLC became the first licensed operator certified by the GCGRA to actually run this type of gambling product in the country.
This was followed by the granting of licensure to Wynn Resorts to build the country’s very first casino resort in Al-Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah.
