The upcoming SBC Summit due to take place at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, will now put a bigger focus on innovation, and particularly seek to nurture the startup ecosystem of promising upcoming companies which are seeking to realize ideas, already have a prototype, or are driving change in the industry.

SBC Summit to put an even greater emphasis on startup culture in 2024

The new StartupSphere part of SBC Summit will seek to connect startup founders with clients and potential investors, spurring growth across multiple verticals and putting the limelight on hard-working and promising new entries into the gambling industry.

The StartupSphere will of course host the First Pitch Competition, the SBC-backed incubator that seeks startup companies to compete against one another for a chance to receive €60,000 in funding.

StartupSphere is open to an array of companies that develop products for the industry, including in areas such as cybersecurity, data analysis, marketing, fan engagement, AI, fintech, game development, and more. Attendees of the StartupSphere will have an easy entry into the event as the booth package is priced at €1,600, and two full day passes to the event, each worth €600.

SBC Events Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark has welcomed this new opportunity to see his organization do more to nurture a vibrant and thriving ecosystem, saying:

"Our events always aim to inspire innovation and offer a platform for companies to showcase their ideas. Startups are crucial in this, and we're all in when it comes to providing them with the extra support they need. This year, we're expanding our efforts with StartupSphere, offering affordable exhibition opportunities and a chance to connect with decision-makers with buying power and investors—a significant move in empowering startups."

SBC Summit works with local partners to nurture startup culture

To see this project through, SBC has also worked with three local organizations to ensure that more fledgling businesses have the opportunity to thrive in the gambling industry ecosystem. Those include Startup Lisboa, Startup Portugal, and 351 Portuguese Startup Association.

Sojmark has thanked all three organizations for coming together with working with SBC Summit to create the opportunity to host more promising businesses and offer them a chance to promote their product and secure a financial and industry foothold.
