The Canadian Gaming Association has confirmed its participation at ICE Barcelona and will seek to highlight the country’s iGaming industry, which is worth $23 billion.
The association will join the Canada House at Fira Barcelona, which will be part of ICE Barcelona, the upcoming event, which brings together the world’s iGaming elite and allows stakeholders to strengthen their mutual understanding of the sector, advance key technologies, and boost growth.
Commenting on this opportunity, Canadian Gaming Association CEO & PresidentPaul Burns had this to add:
"We saw the creation of Canada House as the most effective and impactful way of demonstrating the strength of the market at what is the world's leading gaming gathering. Canada House brings Canadian companies and jurisdictions all together in one place, providing international visitors with a definitive and clear understanding of all that Canada has to offer.
"Canada House will be the focal point for allthings Canada at ICE Barcelona - a welcoming place to meet and build relationships, away from the pace of the show floor.
It will also carry content that showcases Canadian companies and Canadian jurisdictions, giving visitors a clear picture of who is doing business in Canada and what each market offers, Burns added, clarifying on the purpose of the participation.
"ICE brings the global gaming industry together in one place. Operators, suppliers, regulators, investors, and decision makers from around the world attend, which makes it the natural venue for reaching international audiences at scale. For Canada, that means direct access to the companies and leaders we most want to engage," Burns further elaborated.
The launch of the Canada House is an important milestone for ICE Barcelona just as well, with ICE Barcelona Portfolio Director responsible for delivering Margaret Dunn adding:
"The launch of Canada House demonstrates how ICE Barcelona is responding to market dynamics and the opportunities that exist following the Alberta government’s establishment of a regulated iGaming market, which officially launched July 13, 2026."
"Once again, Barcelona will become the capital of global gaming in January. The opportunities that World Gaming Week provides to engage with over 65,000 business leaders from 179 nations are unprecedented," Dunn further elaborated.
"We are delighted to be working with the Canadian Gaming Association to showcase the opportunities that exist in Canada's $23bn regulated gaming industry. It is the connections made during World Gaming Week that shape the future of the industry across every continent," she further elaborated.
