SBC Summit Tbilisi welcomes World Cup winner Alessandro Nesta as headliner

SBC Summit Tbilisi will follow in the footsteps of SBC Summit Lisbon and bring not only industry decision-makers, but also people from the world of sports, tech, and entertainment.

The latest such person to join the event is Alessandro Nesta, the legendary AC Milan defender and World Cup winner, who will also headline the gathering. SBC Summit Tbilisi, which is co-hosted with SMH Global, is going to bring together more than 2,000 stakeholders at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace on October 15-16, 2025.

The event will focus on analyzing the Eastern European and Central Asian gambling markets while also imparting more relevant advice and insight into how to steer businesses towards success. Nesta will deliver a keynote at the start of the event on Wednesday, October 15.

His address will focus on how what he learned on the pitch can be applied to the dynamic and ever-challenging gaming landscape of today.

Nesta will also join "The Influence on Sports Icons in Gaming & Entertainment" panel on Thursday, October 16, where he will sit alongside Zurab Khizanishvili and industry experts Lasha Machavariani (Founder, SMH Global), Dr Matthias Kirschenhofer (Former Co-CEO, Sport1 Medien), and Zurab Magalashvili (Marketing Director, Flutter Entertainment).

Nesta is a well-seasoned player with three FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships. He played with world-class clubs, notably AC Milan. After parting ways with the club in 2012, he started exploring other leagues, including Major League Soccer and the Indian Super League. He took his leave from professional football in 2014.

Nesta is hailed as a world-class athlete and coach, whose unique perspective is going to be an important part of SBC Summit Tbilisi 2025.
