The much-anticipated SBC Summit Rio, due to take place at the Windsor Convention & Expo Center on March 5-7, has more exciting news surrounding the event, with now the SBC Resenha FC meet-up confirmed to take place on the second day of the event.

On Wednesday, March 6, at 13:00 local time, invited parties will reunite at the Pragmatic Play Networking Bar and Lounge for a chance to exchange know-how, share insights, and establish further business connections. The meeting will focus on everything, from sponsorship discussions to fan engagement, to revenue generation.

SBC Rio Summit has made sure that the exclusive meeting appeals to select marketing leads, sales managers, Sponsorship Directors, from a variety of sports teams who are finding their bearings in the rapidly changing realities of legalized sports gambling in the country.

Commenting on this fresh opportunity, SBC Sponsorship Director George Harborne welcomed the opportunity to see this meet-up take place as part of the broader SBC Summit Rio format.

"We recognize the positive impact of synergies between sports teams and operators, and we want to create a platform for interested parties to convene and network, discuss the potential out there, and directly find sponsors on the exhibition floor," Harborne said, adding that the organization was actively trying to push into the vertical and present fresh opportunities for local stakeholders.

The meet-up will indeed bring a host of important decision-makers that are already part of the Brazilian sports ecosystem, among whom are:

  • Pedro Melo (Chief Commercial Officer, Clube Atlético Mineiro)
  • Ricardo Padoveze (Head of Sponsorship, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo)
  • Arnaldo Garcia (CRO - Diretor de Marketing e Negócios, Coritiba Foot Ball Club SAF)
  • Rafael Ganem (Commercial Director, SAF Botafogo)
  • Paula Young (Head of Commercial Activations & International Relations, SAF Botafogo)
  • Liana Bazanela (Diretora Executiva de Marketing e Negócios, Sport Club Internacional)
  • Roberto Armelin (Diretor Jurídico e de Compliance, São Paulo F.C.)

There will be several sessions as part of the meet-up designed to tackle matters of integrity and potential commercial opportunity for football teams in the market, plus how local clubs can benefit from the rapid technological changes to the landscape.

With a number of panels lined up, participants would not want to miss out on the "Crafting the Perfect Partnership: Success Stories in Sports" discussion which will further hope to throw a bridge between sports clubs and operators that are rapidly advancing into the market.
