SBC Events is stepping up efforts as it seeks to boost educational sessions dedicated to the iGaming regulatory landscape through a new trilateral agreement with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL).
The partnership will also strengthen cooperation among stakeholders, as the collaboration seeks to help specialists work together on pressing issues from the sector that require cross-border collaboration to be addressed in earnest.
Rasmus Sojmark, SBC Founder & CEO, had this to comment on the new partnership: "Regulation has never been more important to how companies in our sector do business, and an ever-changing regulatory landscape makes compliance ever more difficult. This is why I’m proud to team up with IAGR and IMGL to give SBC’s audience the very best information on how the laws are changing across the world."
This new collaboration will stand out to its fullest potential this year on the floor of SBC Summit in Lisbon on September 29 - October 1, 2026, featuring a full schedule of regulatory meetups.
The partnership will focus on bringing more meaningful discussions to SBC Events centered around regulatory education in iGaming, with the partnership extending over the next three years.
The new initiative comes at a crucial point in the industry, as regulatory scrutiny increases, and more cross-border collaboration is beginning to take shape in a bid to address meaningful outstanding issues such as player protection and the rise of the black market.
IAGR is the leading global organization that reunites the efforts of gaming regulators. IMGL is another prominent global gaming industry network of specialist lawyers and regulators, as well as professional advisors.
The partnership was welcomed by both IAGR and IMGL. IAGR President Ben Haden added this: "A key opportunity for the world’s gambling regulators is maintaining regular engagement with all parts of the global industry to educate and exchange views with businesses on changing rules and laws in our sector. This collaborative partnership with SBC and IMGL will make communication between stakeholders so much easier and ensure we can raise the bar on standards."
His colleague Marc Dunbat, IMGL President, said this: "This is the perfect collaboration to keep the industry educated about what is allowed and what is not in global jurisdictions. IMGL’s network of igaming lawyers, combined with IAGR’s regulator members, and SBC’s industry reach and extensive content portfolio, is a powerful way to keep the industry informed about the latest changes."
