SBC Summit Tbilisi 2024

SBC Summit Tbilisi has been celebrated as a success with the event bringing together 1,500 attendees at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace between June 25 and June 26, where the second edition of the industry gabfest was hosted.

The gathering was held as a part of a collaborative effort between SBC and SMH, a Georgia-based company, and also supported by local gaming operators who stepped in as presenting partners, EGT Digital and Amusnet Georgia.

SBC Summit Tbilisi 2024 hailed as a major success

With a firm focus on Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the event took a closer look at important regional markets, including Georgia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Ukraine. Following the industry gathering, SBC has received input from a number of guests who praised the gathering for reaching its intended mark.

"Attending this summit provided a great educational opportunity. It allowed me to meet more people and understand the perspectives of different brands and their visions for the future."

"Additionally, coming to a place like Georgia made me realise its immense potential. It's very vibrant, youthful, and ambitious—exactly the kind of place I enjoy being," said former Manchester City COO and founder of EQ Esports and Gaming Chris Bird.

The conference program itself brought together more than 60 distinct regional industry experts who imparted their knowledge to attendees across a number of selected and important topics that will help shape local markets.

Among the speakers were MaxBet CEO and CFO Savo Bakmaz, Sports Generate CEO Simon Westbury, and more. Westbury, like many others, was pleased to have attended the event:

"This conference serves not just Georgia, but also Armenia, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and the Baltics. It's a very different dynamic from what we are used to in Western Europe. Speaking to this market and discussing its specifics with very interesting industry speakers has been very insightful to me."

Creating value for Eastern European and Central Asian iGaming markets

Port:80 CEO Maia Odishelidze praised the quality of the event and the high impact it has had on the region. Odishelidze said that SBC Summit Tbilisi was by far the most impactful, significant, and value-added gathering in Georgia, and even the region.

GamePro Founder Gary Sonyak similarly hailed the gathering as a major success, praising it for the opportunities it created to build strong partnerships, exchange expertise, and generally get a firmer foothold in the regional market.

More outpourings of approval were shared by Avento MT Head of Risk, Fraud, and RG, Irakli Zenaishvili, who was similarly pleased to connect with new and familiar faces in the industry, and see all of those different market experts work together to tackle and address shared challenges.

The second edition of SBC Summit Tbilisi is hardly to be the last iteration of the event. Official information about a new event to be set up next year has not yet been released, but once more details are available, you can expect to find them at SBC’s official website or here at Casino Guru News.
